preserving the privacy of our library patrons and visitors. This is how we will
handle information we learn about you from your visit to our web site:
When you visit our Web site, the following information is
automatically logged:

the address (IP) of your
computer or of your Internet provider
|
| |
|
-
the date and
time you access our site
|

We use this information to measure the number of
visitors to the different sections of our site, and to help us make our site
more useful to you. Web site data is separate from patron library records. In
other words, we can’t look up your library card number and see where you have
been on the Internet.
We will not share any of this information with anyone unless
required by court order. We do not collect or sell any information about you or
your search habits for commercial purposes.
Some of the databases available to you from our web site will
require the bar code number from your Library card for verification purposes.
These database vendors do not have access to our records. "Cookies" are used in
conjunction with some of these database interfaces, but they expire after your
session and do not contain personal information. They are used in order for you
to keep citation lists and backtrack through earlier searches.
We cannot
control the privacy practices of outside websites. Once you leave our site, this
policy will no longer apply.
We recommend that you consult the privacy policy at each site you visit before
submitting any personal information.
Please see our
