Periods
The standard
loan period is 28 days, with the following exceptions:
Highly requested material
is loaned
for 7 to 14 days, depending on length.
Audio-Visual material
is loaned
for 7 to 14 days, depending on format (see below.)
Holiday material in
season is loaned for 7 days.
Magazines
are loaned
for 7 days.
Branch loan periods
may vary by location.

There is
no limit on the number of books that can be checked out at one time.
You may view your current checkouts at any
time by clicking on “View Your Record” from the library homepage and entering your library
barcode number as prompted.

materials are limited as follows:

Your library card is required to renew materials.
Books may be renewed twice and audio-visual
materials may be renewed once. However, if someone
else is waiting for an item and has placed a hold on it, that item will not be
renewed.
You
may renew your items by
calling the library's circulation desk at 269-1915.
You can renew items online by using the “View Your Record” function in the library catalog. .
Overdue Materials

The late
charge is 25 cents per day for each overdue item. This charge is the same
for any type of material.
If the
maximum late charge has been reached, no additional daily charge will be added.
The
maximum late charge for a children's book is $1.00. The maximum late
charge for an adult book is $5.00. The maximum late charge for any
audiovisual item is $10.00.
Late
charges can be avoided by renewing or returning your material by the due date.
Lost, Stolen or Damaged Materials

Charges
for lost, stolen and irreparably damaged materials will include the replacement
cost of the item plus a non-refundable processing fee of $5.00.
Lost materials
with a value of $15.00 or more that are returned with a receipt within three
months may qualify for a refund.
Patron replacement of library materials
will be accepted if, and only if, the item is the exact title, edition and format of the lost
material.
